This is one of the panels from the painted piano project called “Whale Song”. Each winter, humpback whales travel to Hawaii to mate and have their young. One of the most amazing sites to see, is the male humpback whales competing for females. Males often chase each other and produce bubble screens to confuse the other males and separate them from the female. This painting depicts that scene.
